Home > Guest Relations > Site History > Show Timer Above is a scaled-down sample of the "show timer" page that greeted guests at this site, before EPCOT's Universe of Energy Club was launched, and again before EPCOT's Universe of Energy Companion Site was launched. The page appeared a few days before each launch, and actually counted down (in "real time") the hours and minutes to the launch. At the end of each countdown, it flashed "00:00" as above, for a moment, then went to the new site. The show timer page was inspired by Universe of Energy's show timer. Upon entering the pavilion, guests are greeted with a stunning tile mosaic, representing a "thermal image" of our Sun's radiation. The show timer is cleverly set into the tilework, and is made to look like part of the tiles.
