"Casting Call" appointment cards were given to Cast Members as reminder of when to report for Traditions (orientation and training program). The front of the card was printed with the new Cast Member's name in the "Starring" blank.
The opposite side of the (folded) Casting Call card offers basic information such as what department and role the new Cast Member was being cast into.
The inside of the (folded) Casting Call card offered an introduction, directions to Disney University at The Center building (north of the Magic Kingdom), and an itinerary for the first day.
Before the Wardrobe department computerized their operations, all "checked out" costume pieces were tracked with forms like this. This one covered every possible type of costume piece for EPCOT Center (note items such as "Obi" and "Ascot", which would have been worn in World Showcase). After each shift, Cast Members turned in their costumes, recieved a fresh costume, and a Wardrobe Cast Member filled out one of these forms.
These time cards were sometimes handed out to guests in line, as a means of tracking the wait time at certain times or on certain days. They were to be turned in to the Cast Member at the entrance, but as often as not, guests simply forgot about them by the time they reached the front of the line.
"Mickey and Goofy Explore the Universe of Energy" was a fun comic book offered free at Universe of Energy's companion exhibit area, Exxon's Energy Exchange, in Communicore East.
Each year the Exxon Lounge staff--easily among the friendliest and most hospitable in Future World--held an informal Christmas party for the Universe of Energy cast. Cast Members were welcomed to stop by on their breaks, lunches, or between shifts to enjoy refreshments and receive a gift from Exxon. This invitation to one of the Christmas parties was hand-drawn by one of the Exxon Longue staff, and was hung in the Lead Office.
Beverages in the Exxon Lounge were served with these cocktail napkins, embossed in gold with the "Universe of Energy" logotype.
