The tiger has long been a symbol for Universe of Energy's sponsor, Exxon-Mobil. It's no surprise then that Exxon-Mobil has joined the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in an effort to save these magnificent, and unfortunately seriously threatened animals. Named for the five remaining species of tigers, this is most comprehensive site on tigers we've found on the Web. This well-designed site presents a wealth of information on these magnificent animals, and the efforts to save them.

The previous link is to the 5 Tigers main page. This link takes you directly to their Save the Tiger Fund page, which explains the fund in detail: priorities and philosophy, contributors, projects, and more.

Who Will Save the Wild Tiger?
The Center for Free Market Environmentalism presents a very comprehensive and fascinating report on tiger conservation.

Save the Stripes
This article really brings home the plight of the tiger in a very personal way, with a graphic description of poachers' tactics, and stories of two tigers that were tracked as part of the Siberian Tiger Project.

Exxon-Mobil
The main Exxon-Mobil site is currently being reorganized, and no mention of the Save the Tiger Fund can be found. We did, however, find this page on what appears to be a subsidiary site.
