It’s been suspiciously quiet on the D23 front lately, as members waited to see what plans the company’s “official” fan club held for 2010. With all the shakeup at Disney lately, it seems like several divisions are still catching up – try, for instance, to determine what Disney’s DVD release schedule is this year! [...] Curse you for doing awesome, well-conceived things that I desperately want but are so incredibly expensive! Currrrseeeee yoooouuuuuuuuuu…. Seriously, this is a great idea. D23 is producing a limited-series collection of all the released Walt Disney Treasures DVD sets to date. This 54-disc collection will set you back $500, but it’s the only way to [...] So much to say, so little time to say it. Some brief highlights of the day: The Studios presentation was massive. They led off with a montage that seemed to last 20 minutes and feature every Disney film from after 1984. Who’d have thought that I’d wind up watching a montage of scenes from Down [...] Well, last night I’d written you a nice, rambling summary of my first day at D23. Then my accursed computer ate it. So, my witty musings will have to be cobbled back together later. Needless to say, it was quite a shindig. Bob Iger kicked things off well – he’s really quite good at working [...] Host Patton Oswalt warms up the crowd for Disney’s 3-D panel at the San Diego Comic-Con It’s that most wonderful time of the year again for nerds like me – the San Diego Comic-Con has arrived.
