The incredible shrinking water of the Mermaid attraction….
Oh my goodness, I want to waltz with Cinderella.
I am most excited about the “Be Our Guest” Restaurant!
Hopefully this whole expansion will be done correctly and Disney will not hold back due to finances. Because this expansion will forever be in the Worlds most visited theme park…it needs to be done perfectly.
It’s one thing to see the images as a huge multiscreen blob, but quite another to see you break them down with additional concept art. Awesome post, Michael.
Thanks very much!
I’d been sitting on these forever, waiting for a big post I was planning to write, but I just figured the pictures are what everyone wants to see so why not get them out?
Glad you enjoyed them… hopefully there will be more to see soon.
We are very excited about this! I hope it is as wonderful as it sounds. My girls can’t wait!
if cinderella gets a meet-n-greet cottage, will she still be ”princess” in her own castle with the dining there? seems she’ll have double duty vs. the other princess(s). couldn’t the cottage go to another princess we usually don’t get to see so up-close-&-personal? kinda think disney overlooked a marketing option here to highlight another character. how about on the outskirts of the forrest(s) there could be a ”beach” with lilo & stitch? love everything anyway, will start to save now for a long vaca in ’12 to explore everything!!
Hmmm… beautiful images however I can’t help but wonder “What Would Walt Think?” I wonder if this is the direction he would have taken this expansion if he were with us today. I’m with Barbara on the overexposure of Cinderella. To be honest, I feel Disney continues to force the Princesses down our throats rather than to cultivate some of the other characters – preferably some of the male or animal characters. I am pleased to see Pixie Hollow will be constructed as well as some alternatives for dining. Thanks for the hard work, Michael!
You’re welcome – thanks for reading!
I do think it’s marketing-driven Princess overload – it would have been nice to mix things up a bit. Or at least had some contrast; I’m kind of surprised they didn’t toss Maleficent’s tower there in the back somewhere…
I feel like Ariel is missing her beach…but everything seems beautiful! There must be many places to explore in the castles as well!
The new Fantasyland might be opened at Walt Disney World, But Mickey’s Toontown can’t be opened somewhere anymore. But that’s okay.

Finally!!
It was about time to make Disneyland as it should be from the Very Beginning!!!
Exact Replicas “Walkthrough Landscapes” and Sightseeings taken out from the Classic Disney Animation movies!
Personally I don’t like the “fake” attractions with the usual “ride vehicles”, such as “the many adventures of winnie the pooh”… Instead of this I would really love to see and visit their “Real tree houses” in the Forest, for Pooh and his friends!
I am more into Real “walkthrough attractions” with no “static painted wallpaper posters” on the walls inside of the attractions.
So. I really fell in Love with this awesome FULL-PAGE post, about beautiful Concept Art Drawings!
From all of these i liked the “Dumbo Circus” drawing Best!
I don’t know why, maybe it is because is not something that you see very often from the rest of the attractions.
I really Thank you very much Michael, for sharing these pictures with us! 🙂
